If a spaceship were to pass by and the aliens said, “We have room for one exemplary person so we can learn about the essence of humanity during the long journey,” who would we send?

In her essay The Space Crone, U.K. Le Guin argues that an experienced older woman could best represent humanity. Inspired by this idea, Olivia Maridjan-Koop, approaching the third phase of life, joins forces with three artists from the fields of dance, spoken theater, music, and performance art to explore themes of transformation and transience as fundamental conditions of life. On an intimate arena stage, the solo performer unfolds shifting identities and modes of being, reflecting the many facets and layers of a life lived. Transience and adaptability emerge as the essence of existence.
